Digital Dental X-Rays

Your dental x-ray can show your dentist at Parker Smiles cavities, hidden dental structures (such as wisdom teeth) and bone loss that cannot be seen with the naked eye. X-rays are an incredibly valuable tool in helping us find any problems that may occur in your mouth. Parker Smiles can save you a lot of time, money, and pain with an X-ray by preventing major problems before they happen. Dental X-rays are entirely safe so you have nothing to fear when it comes to radiation worries.
Sharp dental film has been replaced by a smooth electronic sensor and the lead shield is now made of space age materials that weigh less than your average fall coat. Digital X-Rays are safer, as they use 90% less radiation than the old style. They are better, allowing for images to be magnified up to 300% to enhance diagnosis. They are faster, as they images instantaneous. Digital X-Rays are smarter too. With no harmful chemicals used in the processing, we can help keep our environment healthy and safe.
Dental X-rays are used to find problems in the mouth before painful symptoms become apparent: problems such as tooth decay, damage to bones supporting the teeth, and dental injuries (such as broke tooth roots). X-rays are also used to find teeth that are not in their correct place, or to show teeth that are too crowded to break through the gum line (commonly called impacted teeth). They are also used to find cysts, tumors or abscesses.
In the case of major surgery such as cavities, root canal surgery, or dental implants, X-rays are used to plan treatment.
